From 04/26/2026 to 05/02/2026 inclusive, emergency work will be carried out in the outdoor pool. During this period, the area adjacent to the pool will remain accessible for use, and no work-related noise is expected. Alternatively, the indoor pool will be available for free access throughout the duration of the work.
There is a possibility of renovation of some apartments during the winter period (from 01.11.2025 to 31.03.2026). If renovation works are confirmed, they will be carried out on a floor that will be blocked and on which there will be no apartments occupied by guests. Therefore, the hotel management will not be responsible for any compensation paid to customers as a result of these renovations.
Сleaning and painting work on the north side facade of the hotel are in progress now. This work will take place over 3 to 4 weeks. Guests are offered the possibility of parking in the hotel garage at no cost as parking in front of the hotel will be limited.
On November 18th the property will begin the renovation work on some apartments. This work will last between 6 and 8 weeks, and they will try to keep all apartments attached to the works unoccupied, thus minimizing any inconvenience.
The renovation work at Dunamar Hotel will begin in November, with December being the month that will cause some noise impact.
The hotel had blocked off around 90 surrounding apartments and accesses/corridors to those that will be undergoing work. As the work progresses, they will unblock them.
The western side will be closed, only the eastern side will be open.
A tax of EUR 0.50 per night for children aged 11 to 13 years, for stays of up to 7 nights, is collected directly by the hotel.
Monte Gordo City Council has authorised some music events, taking place on May 2027:
Soul Fusion Portugal 2027 (6-13 May 2027);
Soul in the Algarve (May 27 – 31 2027).
It is difficult to know the exact dates on which the assembly and testing will begin. For this reason, the hotel strongly recommend that all guests staying in these resorts between 01 and 31 May 2027 be duly advised of these events and the inconvenience they might cause.
